A gentle and powerful introduction to yoga

I have practised yoga for many years, but felt called to go back to basics. Grounded yoga for the absolute beginners’ course was beautiful, a gentle reminder of basics forgotten, refreshers needed and I also learnt new things! Each week we would focus on a different aspect of the yoga practice e.g. the breath (pranayama), poses (asanas), etc .

I would highly recommend for all levels, if you are looking for a gentle and powerful introduction to yoga or to go back to basics, all aspects are covered.

I appreciated and enjoyed Nadia’s warm nature and approach. She meets each person at the level they were at including different physical needs and abilities. Highly recommended!

What to expect

🐝 To move at your own pace: You won’t be forced to do anything that doesn’t feel safe for you to do.

🐝 To discover different ways to connect with your body and mind.

🐝 To learn a little more about yoga philosophy. Yoga is so much more than the physical practice, and the philosophy is weaved into each class.

🐝 To be surprised by what you can do with your body!

About Nadia

Nadia started yoga in high school and became a teacher in 2016. “I want to create an environment which is kind and generous; a place where we can support a Free Palestine and take care of ourselves.”

If you’ve never practised yoga before, Nadia is a beginner’s teacher at heart. “It gives me such joy to see new students discover possibilities on a yoga mat. To help them experience new tools for regulation.” Our aim is not perfection, it’s to ground.

This is the sixth round of Yoga for Absolute Beginners. Discounts, payment plans and trade exchanges are all possible as everyone is welcome at Grounded.

Nadia’s approach to yoga is both inclusive and healing. She welcomes beginners in a judgement free space, ensuring everyone in the class feels cared for and seen. I am grateful that I was introduced to her style of teaching, allowing for the development of yoga fundamentals at a pace that feels natural and achievable. I couldn’t recommend her classes more!

Where your yoga journey begins

I started with the absolute beginner’s course and haven’t left (and don’t plan to!). Nadia’s classes always make you feel lighter, calmer and make you question why you haven’t joined sooner. Her kindness and gentleness is always felt, during and after the class.
